I have an Anderson stripped lower that I bought from Brownell a couple of years back. I had to go through a FFL dealer on my end because it is considered a firearm's action. My question is can I sell & ship this item person-to-person if we're both in Texas & I'm shipping Texas-to-Texas?

ITs considered a long gun and can be shipped person to person in Texas.

If I remember correctly when I purchased my lowers I had to designate on my paperwork. I had to select rifle or pistol. I guess I shouldn't have used that particular wording since there is not gun registration here in Texas.

I occasionally hear this ‘registered as a pistol’ thing on 10/22’s and now AR’s. I choose to simply disregard it.

1. Stripped AR receiver is NOT a long gun or a pistol. 2. There is NO registration in Texas. 3. There is NO declaring on the ATF Form 4473. Page 2 is checked "other firearm" and page 3 is annotated "frame or receiver". 4. Must be 21 to buy a receiver from a dealer because it can be built into a "handgun"

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Yes TXGUNNER308 you are correct on #3 as it is on the current 4473 form. On the older versions I believe 2005 and before the form was different. It said Handgun,Long gun or Both and there was nothing saying it was a "frame or reciever".

Also, every day joe cannot send an AR receiver through the USPS.
