Finally. The one near me had them. They come in two different ways. Spicy and classic. I went for the classic because I share with Muffin. It's Tuesday so I went ahead and ordered three Tuesday specials with sides of red beans and rice, but I regress. Back to the sandwich.

It may be the best I've ever had. It was a thick piece of chicken breast with the crispest breading I've ever had on and deep fried morsel. It was almost more than I could eat but Muffin didn't mind helping. The wait time at the drive through was manageable.

That's it? I was hoping for more of a write up.

I plan to get the spivey the next time. The meat under the very crispy crust was succulent. Just trying to keep you guys informed since the Popeyes sandwiches had not been available in Texas. There is a Chick-F- Lay and a Raisin Canes across the road. I plan to stay with Popeyes until something changes my mind.

Also, Muffin says stick it.

Now I understand the purpose of user names. I emailed the link to some of my neighbors as a FYI. They think some of you guys are nuts and THF is a joke forum.

Nice review.

Does it come with a sauce or pickles?

I may go Saturday and get one of each.

I happened to get one the first week they came out before all the hype and honestly I don't get it. Yes it's a good sandwich, but I wouldn't say it's better than Chick Fil A. If I'm going to Popeyes its for a Spicy White Meat 2 pc with Red Beans and Rice with a biscuit.

Mr. Bill, did you go to the location at I ten and Mason road? That is the one I will go to if they have them in stock. Thanks.

I went to the new one on hwy 1463 near 1093. It's near the new Walmart center. Everything is new including the Whataburger. I no longer deep fry at home. I get my fried chicken out and my burgers at home.

RollTide. They come plain but condiments are free. I ate mine without sauce. No arguing taste with anyone but I think that the meat and the bun is the best I've had.

That looks good, the only one I tried the chicken was about half as thick.

They are good. I still prefer chick fil A. I may just run and grab one for lunch.

Honestly it’s pretty darn good. I hate to admit it but chic fil a has nothing on it.

Popeye's isn't bad, but doesn't hold a candle to Chick fil a, plus, Chick fil a employees speak understandable english.

Popeye's is dead to me. Worst service in the industry.
