It was a great hunt, we shot all wood ducks Saturday, we expected the same Sunday, only shot one wood duck. Started out with 2 greenheads, then another 2 mallards, they worked pretty good. Had a wad of teal decoy and we dropped 5. We were sitting on 15 ducks about to pick up when a group of widgeon locked up and we splashed 3 in the deeks, it was a good ender.

After Saturday’s hunt I cooked us huevos rancheros at the boat ramp, with a few shots of whiskey. It was awesome.

I don't know about all that. He might be able to out hunt a couple Barneys from time to time, but that's about it.

Wait....did you just drop an attempt at a humble brag about the group shooting 9 shells and dropping 5 birds? Sounds like some time on the sporting clays or 5 stand field might help.

Oh definitely. I used to shoot clay every weekend during the off season, now a fish every weekend. I didn't shoot any this off season, and it for sure shows. I was shooting pretty good on Sunday, dove and teal season gave me some practice.

When teal come in, I have a hard time shooting those little darts, I kill most after the first shot and they are lifting out of the duck hole. During early teal, I had many decoy, but they zip around so fast I never even had a chance to mount my gun.

To be fair we had 5 teal come in, and we shot all 5. Not sure how you can do much better then that. Not to mention my dad's gun jammed after the first shot. So 7 shots 5 ducks. I'll take that every day of the week.

This was hands down the best part of the hunt. Best hunting camp breakfast in a long time. That or the whiskey chaser
