How did a crazy woman get a gun?


A mother in Texas was found dead alongside her three children on Friday in an apparent triple murder-suicide.

Ashley Auzenne, 39, was known to have been battling depression and anxiety in addition to physical ailments such as arthritis and lupus at the time of her death, which was ruled as a suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Her three children, Parrish, 11, Eleanor, 9, and Lincoln, 7, were also killed by gunshot. Authorities are treating their mother, who had just finalized a contentious divorce from their husband, Murvin Auzenne Jr., as the primary suspect.

Auzenne was a vocal advocate for stricter gun control in the United States with multiple social media postings calling for an end to gun violence and Facebook profile pictures that bore the hashtags #Enough and #EndGunViolence.

Authorities discovered the bodies of the woman and her children after they were called to Auzenne's home on Thursday by a relative who had requested a welfare check.

Odd question on a forum that legally facilitates private buyers and sellers of firearms.

The cynic in me believes she didn't just succumb to mental illness. She was also blinded by her hate of guns, and wanted to "do her part" to further gun control.

Probably not going to hear much more on this one but if somebody does decide to investigate, I'm pretty sure they'll find a long history of mental issues that have been treated for some time and known by many. I'll also add that that the med's she's been taking or stopped taking are the same damn ones just about every other mass shooter was taking. There's your red flag folks, it's been waving like crazy for years and still ignored. These damn med's they're passing out for depression, anxiety and other so called issues are killer's in more ways than one.

Well said, HWY. I think Ten’s comment about “doing her part” is also true and a result of her mental illness. Irrational to kill your children and irrational to think it furthers your gun control cause. Both a result of mental illness. And the drugs are messed up.

The divorce was just finalized, she was going to have to find a job to support herself and to maintain the home, The court refused to let her move to another area, She saw suicide as an answer, the killing of the kids was punishing the father, she was taking them with her making sure he would not get custody.
