Thought I better put this in the bunker as to not trigger anyone.

A "constitutional carry" gun law in Oklahoma took effect Friday. Also known as permitless carry, the law lets some Oklahomans carry a firearm in public without a license.

Most Oklahomans 21 and older can now carry concealed or unconcealed firearms without having gone through a background check or training requirements, with exceptions for those illegally in the country or who have been convicted of certain crimes.

I haven't looked into it yet, can non-residents conceal carry there as well under this? I go up to Broken Bow often.

Actually it should be that way everywhere. People would be a little more nice to each other.

Don't agree with it. You have to pass a test, written and driving for a drivers license. You should have to pass a test written and shooting to be able to carry a weapon. Last thing I want is some dude with an inferiority complex strutting around with an AR because he feels tough.

I am a HUGE proponent of training, training and training more.I feel that all gun owners with or without a carry permit should be intimately aware of gun laws.

Please help me to understand why you feel that passing written and shooting test requirements will stop people with an inferiority complex, strutting around because he feels tough.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Driving is a privilege, not a Constitutional right. HUGE difference!!!

For the life of me I can't understand why that concept is so difficult for some people to grasp.....

Arrogance, willful ignorance or just plain old imbecility.

The latter of which can probably be ruled out, due to the evidence of being able to navigate the internet.
