Funny how now a days we see this as cutting edge, something to “frame.” It’s just kids figuring out the parameters of social behavior. The bully may not be a bully, may just have not had other kids show him the rules, boundaries, and limitations. That used to be the norm.

However, don’t be fooled, William now has a paper trail documenting his behavior and physical aggression. If he takes matters into his own hands a couple more times, he will be “labeled” the bully.

Not sure what I'd do if one of my kids would have brought that home, a visit with the teacher wold be a fact though.

Just curious, what would that meeting sound like?

I don't necessarily have a problem with the note and having students reflect on their action, but at most schools, you would have received a phone call from the teacher, assistant principal, or principal first, rather than just finding out about it from a note. Its common practice to have a phone call home for any physical conflict/altercation.

That being said, if the kid was bullying your son, William did good!!!
