I like it. Bocote is my favorite wood.

I like it. Bocote is my favorite wood. I like the ease in working with it. It finishes well too.

nice work. when i was a kid my dad made some trap spring patch knives for my brother and I. always thought they were cool.

This winter, the first bobcat I trap, is going to be skinned with a knife I made from a trap spring. The thought of it just seems very satisfying to me.

Never seen one before....very cool... During the mountain men fur trade era, many trap spring knives were made from necessity. The trappers didn't always have access to a blacksmith shop or trade knives, but they did always have long spring traps and basic metallurgy skills.
