Ok, I have been out of town for 3 weeks

I know I have a great buck at my favorite spot!

Do I go get my camera today, and see when he is coming to try to learn a pattern?

Or do I not risk anything, and let it be, and just see what happens tomorrow.

The deal is, I only have this weekend, If I miss my chance - someone else will get him. He is Beautiful!

Go in Mid day, grab your camera and get out. You'll only spook him out if he's there mid day. Otherwise, you will probably be fine.

Unless you have other commitments....just hunt all day. This time of year...even IF he has some type of pattern, it can easily change.

Just because he has been coming in a few days in a row...say in the mornings, doesn't mean he will this weekend.

If time is tight...then yes, go get the SD card in the middle of the day, then hunt the more active hours as the pictures suggest. Right now...I have bucks on camera moving all times of the day and night.

Just go hunt him. With the great cool weather and dark of the moon, he should be there when the feeder spins as nothing has bothered him.
Don't over think it.
Adios,
Gary

Just go hunt. Man alive, this doesn’t have to be so complicated.

I'd just go hunt him, but then again I haven't put a trail camera up in years. For many years we had the big bucks patterned by late October. Since I started taking my son with me, I just find it more fun not knowing what's in the area. Now if I were focused on a particular buck and had a trail cam in the spot where I thought he'd be, and only had one weekend to kill him, I'd check the camera.

I remember when there were no trail cameras and everyone just hunted.

Either way you are still going hunting tomorrow. Hunt your favorite spot.

I am hunting a particular buck myself, I climb into my ladder blind by 5:30 A.M. and I climb down when it gets dark. Hoping and waiting for that one chance. Hunt man, hunt.

If your going in to check your camera,go in stealthy with cover scent or as scent free as possible and maybe hang some doe in heat up somewhere close to the camera!

If you only have this weekend, I'd hunt sun up to sun down for the next two / three days. No way I'd risk spooking a deer by checking the camera if I only had two days to hunt. Who cares if he showed up at 9am 4 out of 7 days last week if you only have two days to hunt - just hunt until you get your deer.
Last time I hunted a feeder I had two deer walk by my stand and ignore the feeder all together. They were just heading somewhere else nearby. I hadnt had a deer on camera at that feeder for three years, but here they were just walking by... point is there are animals that show up on cameras, but there's also animals that walk by randomly that maybe arent interested in whats there...

Now if you have an option for multiple locations to hunt and want your best chance at success, then I can see checking cameras would be prudent.
