30-40 days with minimal wind blown loss would be my guess.

My 300 lb feeders currently set to throw once a day for 2 seconds will run close to 3 months before throwing out. Once I go to twice a day this weekend cut that in half.

We had ours set to something similar and they would run around a bag a week (50 lbs bag).

Thanks,
Rich

As stated, lots of variables; wind, spinner plate height, raccoons... Mine are set for 3 seconds, twice a day. Most will throw about 30 lb per week.

Take you a corn bag or five gallon buck and put it over the feeder right after you hit the test button. Catch the corn from that 3 sec. feeding and weigh it. To many variables to guess an amount.

Of those I've measured, depending on funnel size most 12V units will throw between 1/3 and 1/2 pound per second. That is just actual run time. At 6 secs per day you are looking at around 3 lb/day. But, if you are not using an Eliminator or Varmint plate to remove other losses this goes out the window.

It is a really good answer however I use a hopper on the front of a tractor to fill the feeders and don’t know how much corn the feeder holds...I manage a 4K acre high fenced ranch and we buy 13 tons of corn in an overhead hopper..we have 30 corn feeders.I have the date we filled them ,guess I’ll just take the tops off and look...This is my first year here.Thank you.

My new stand and fill from Ramball is feeding very close to 50 lbs per week, two 5 second cycles per day. That's a 12 volt, West Texas Feeder motor, The Timer, nothing lost to wind or coons.

So, you're feeding about 3x more than I do. Are you going through about 600 lbs in a month?

150lbs in 8 days, but I am covered up with deer, apparently I am the only one feeding them. I have another feeder to the north that is covered with deer and hogs, same feed times, takes 3 bags to fill it in about 10 days, but it is not a Ramball feeder, at least not yet

Sounds like we nailed it down, that's 600 lbs in 32 days.

We can tell the world that based on our random verified sampling one second of spin time on our stand and fill dispenses .67 lb., or dang close to it.

Mine is set on 5-6 seconds per day in the off season and they will last about 6 weeks on 300 lbs of corn. That seems to be consistent with the other posts in this thread.

My 300lb 6v feeder is at 20 sec, 2x/day.and lasts right at 4 weeks. My 600lb 12v feeder was at 8 sec 2x/day and lasted 8 weeks. Comes out to 5lbs of corn thrown 2x/day on both feeders. Just changed my 12v to throw 12 sec 2x/day which should cut me back to almost 6 weeks. Both feeders are covered up with animals. I took over the location of the 6v feeder from a guy from last season. They said he complained of not ever seeing many animals, but the lease manager told me that he didn't think the guy was putting enough corn down to hold them in the area. Proof that if you put the groceries on the ground, they will come. Here's a few pics. That guy is gonna be pizzed that he gave up the spot. [Linked Image]
