I have for years thought it was just before and part of Thanksgiving week.
I now think earlier...

I hunted in Navarro County for five years, a little South of you but close enough. I always had the most bucks on camera and cruising from about Nov 15 to Nov 20th and then an echo rut in Dec around the 15th. Good luck! Kaufman is a real sleeper for big deer but I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, lol!
