'Had a customer once that said he'd hunted on a ranch that bordered Ft. Hood. It was so hot that he got down to his BVDs in the blind. Then he shot a doe and thought, since there was no one around, that he'd just go clean her with nothing but his underwear and tennies on. He was bent over her starting to clean and that's when he heard the Blackhawk...they definitely came over to take a look. roflmao

Hey. Iā€™m gonna go look at a new Lexus today for my wife. Were waiting for 2020 with car play.

Looking like 39 in Moran on opening morning with highs in the 50's. Sunday will be slightly warmer. I'm ready!

I keep seeing the forecast going in the right direction. Feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

Great to meet you today Roll-Tide... We need to do a little pig shooting after deer season is over.

Yes, it will likely the first Opening Day morning that I can remember where I needed to take my Little Buddy heater with me to the ground blind.

Forecast now for cold and snow showers middle of this week. Low of 29. Might just get that rut started early! Hell...I'll be 60 in two months but I'm as excited now as I was when I first started hunting.

Jimbo1... you and I are celebrating the same milestone at about the same time. They keep adjusting the morning lows down. Looks like 33 on Saturday.

That's the way I feel, and the way it oughta be. I hope that feeling never leaves me.

It is not going to be that cold. I don't think I have ever taken a cheater to a blind but most of ours are tripods or quads.

Will be in upper 20s for us. Will take the buddy heater. 50s for the high. I like to be comfortable. Roads will be crap with this rain though Some years I have been only one there opening morning but this year 4 guys and kids so will be nice with company. Honestly looking forward to SMU vs Memphis Sat night, fire, and drinks!

High 30s/low 40s, but it should be warming to the low 60s.
