I would suggest breathables because you can layer and stay warm or just slip them on if it's not that cold. Cabela's, Bass Pro and Academy. If your up north there's another vender named Scheels I believe.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

Yeah check out the Drake "Stout" or even "King" waders. Their customer service is excellent, give them a call and see which they'd recommend.

** Edit: Drake only makes a Stout in size 8. Check out their sizing chart on the website

Check out Rogers branded waders. Pretty sure they have stout sized waders

I use the Academy brand. They are too long but it doesn't bother me much. Your the same dimensions as I am. I have either size 10 or 11. The boots are bigger but they work ok. When I get serious about waders I'll get a pair of breathables that fit properly.

I use Cabela's 5mm Armor-Flex in the stout size.

I bought a pair of the breathables last year and enjoy them. Pretty comfortable, but I'm already saving up for some Sitka's. I've yet to hear a bad thing about Sitka besides price, so I'm phasing everything out to them, and I believe their waders have a lifetime warranty from defects.
