I’m looking for something quiet to shoot. Not suppressed just a ruger wrangler 22lr. Prefer something easy to find. Suggestions?

CCI CB 22 Short

CCI also makes 22 quiet in a long rifle case.

I’ll swing by academy in the morning and see if they have either. Just plinking in the backyard so trying to be as quiet as possible. Doesn’t really matter being in the country but less people know the better.

CCI CBs are all but silent in a rifle. I keep a 22 and a 100 rounds of them at the back door.

I bought a box of the CCI Quiet LR 22 ammo. I shot some of it and gave the rest away. Biggest rainbow trajectory I can remember.

This is what you want. It's quieter than most air-rifles.

Nothing is going to be quiet in that pistol except regular colibri; super colibri will give a nice POP.
Gotta have 24-28 in barrel & bolt action to get really quiet & good range/accuracy (cb longs, cci quiets)

CCI CB in 22lr is great stuff. Quieter than my air rifle. The aguila is good, but I have trouble finding it sometimes.

I have a couple 22s that shoot shorts, and from those longer barrels the bullet hittnig squirrel or rabbit is louder than the rifle.

CBs are good s well but there is a definite power difference when the same weight bullet starts at 300 fps more velocity
