Not to offend anyone, but I wouldn't ride anything else.

Not offended, maybe you will see we all enjoy the ride and have a common bond. It is the feeling of freedom and the wind through your hair, love the rumbling down the highway...brand doesn't matter when there are risks involved for any Mc rider.

Ride what you want, it's the ignorant Harley riders who "think" they are on a superior bike that gets me.

I do understand your brand of choice, like me and Fords, but I do not blanket other people for what they drive or ride. Harley has a great history and even better marketing, IMO.

Everything changes, evolve or lose.

Not much of a "beater". I think I may turn my wishful thinking into a "Super Bee" or upwards.

A big reason we finally decided to say goodbye to our little slice of Paradise between Grapetown and Luckenbach. Too many wannabe bikers that just had to be noticed. And bicyclists. And runners. And EVERYBODY, including a neighbor that went ape you-know-what over crappy Texas wine. It's not enough to enjoy yourself anymore; you have to impose on someone else's peace and make dam sure they notice you.

And let's not forget the "high rolling" LOUD trucks out there.

78,000 miles 2002 1800cc's Love the torque and power. Dynoed power commander..etc. Needs oil change, fork seals, radiator flush, brake and clutch lines changed, around 700.00. Heck bike isn't worth 3k. I have a lot of memories on her. Went down once and snapped my acl off my femur. Had surgery was back riding within 2 weeks. Ever since I started my new career in 2013, do not ride anymore.

I am 68 years old. Got rear-ended several years ago. Lucky I was driving one of my pickups. I asked myself "what if I was on that motorcycle". Road King went on sale shortly after that. Driver said he looked down and when he looked up there I was slowing to make a turn. I would love to have another Harley. Just to dangerous with all the phone usage now days.

Bought a Brand New FXE Super Glide back in 1974. Just turned 21. Kept it 5 years and sold it. Got my Harley fix out early. Beautiful bike but that 74 cubic inch ShovelHead would shake the fillings out of your teeth.

Shortly after I met my wife, her uncle passed. We Went to visit her aunt and other family after a bit and her aunt took us into his shop where he stored all his toys he collected over the years, hot rod, bass boat, convertible cars, atv’s and a Harley. She told us that he always said he would own a Harley one day, even if he could only go in the garage and start it up and listen to it run. I don’t remember what model it was but I do remember it was beautiful and all his stuff was pristine and barely used.

It was the closest I ever came to owning a Harley. She was getting rid of all his stuff but it was supposed to go to his son. Later learned his son, my wife’s cousin, never really wanted it to begin with and all his stuff was sold to neighbors and old acquaintances for pennies on the dollar.

My son lost his grandad at 1 years old. He sat on it one week prior for a picture. 70 year old lady hit him right by his house. Good luck!!

Been riding an 02 Ultra Classic Harley since I bought it new. Rebuilt the engine at 20,000 miles, my wife and I take a road trip every year, some where in the 2 to 3 thousand mile range during spring break. I ride to work year round as weather permits. Have been riding some type of bike since the mid 60's. The key to longevity, is to remember you are invisible, and you never have the right of way, and sometimes, this is not enough. I have had many friends injured on bikes by cages not paying attention. So, yes it is a risk every day, but life is a risk.

I am seeing and hearing fewer of them in the past few years. Riders are either getting killed off or just getting it out of their systems. Probably getting smarter and trying to sell them off to others not as smart.

Harleys and Hoovers.

They both suck and have dirt bags on top.

bolt

Could not resist. I’d certainly own one. Been thinking about getting my license endorsement.
