I was just on this weeks drawn hunt at RCWMA the south unit. It was a very well run hunt and while they have had their uncontolable issues with flooding its still in great shape. The deer population I saw was mostly young bucks and does still with yearlings intow. I sat Monday night thru Thursday late and saw bucks and pigs on almost every sit and never went skunked. Here are some photos.

1st night 1st deer seen just sitting after walking looking for a good travel area or an oak tree

This was just before 11am i was going to move my stand about 40 yards to where all the traffic was and he comes to about 17 yards just walking

Looks like a great hunt. Was anyone succesful during your hunting period? Did you see any rutting activity?

I think someone shot a pig. By the time I left no one had and Friday would have been the best chance left but I had to leave.

Yes lots of rutting going on

I hunted through Friday AM. Someone in compartment 12 did score a buck, Thursday evening. I did not see the deer, however. I was told that it was "pretty nice".
I also saw a lot of activity on almost every sit. However, I did not find "a shooter".
I saw this buck, following a doe, on Wednesday morning. Not quite what I was looking for, not having the 15" (inside spread) required.
