Is 16 still considered a youth as far is TPWD is concerned? I’ve seen 17 and 16 in the manuals but a little grey. Don’t want to break the law, so if anyone has clarification it would be greatly appreciated. Taking two youngsters out for youth tomorrow! Thanks in advance.

Yes. Must be 16 or younger date of the hunt. You are good to go. Good luck!

You must be 16 or younger before September 1st the start of hunting season. If you turn 17 in September you cannot hunt youth weekend.
