Last weekend as I was waiting for the wife to get ready I watched a show on PBS called MILK STREET or some such.
In the show the host was cooking Shrimp Saganaki or Shrimp with Feta Cheese. The dish sounded easy enough for even an Aggie like me to be able to cook the dish. However, the dish contained anise flavorings that my wife does not like. After researching on the internet several variations of the recipe I made my version leaving out the anise flavoring. I also combined it with some cooked pasta so that it would make a meal.
The dish contained
Chopped Kalamata olives
Red pepper flakes
Feta cheese--I added this to my plate on top of the dish.
Overall a delicious new meal to add to the meal rotation occasionally. Instead of adding pasta the dish would made a good appetizer or side dish if served with a crusty bread for soaking up the sauce.
