My neighbor gave me a package of shrimp fresh off of the boat yesterday. Gave me a hankering for shrimp creole. Not up to all the chopping. Don't ordinary keep celery at home. Wondered it there was a store bought sauce like all the spaghetti sauces. Found this. Thoughts?

I didn't know you could buy creole sauce in a jar but I'd give it a try.

I no longer process tomatoes from my garden but froze several pints of creole/étouffée sauce each year when I did.

Here you go. Those shrimp were at least a 24 count. I'm stuffed. Plan to make four more meals with the leftovers. I generally add cayenne to any Cajun sauce. Glad I tasted it first. It was fine right out of the jar. I'm always confused about the difference between shrimp Creole and shrimp étouffée. I did make a little roux.

Walmart only had one creole sauce. Here you go.

up looks good

my understanding is Shrimp creole often adds tomatoes as its base while etouffee uses a roux for its base.

I sort of mixed it up.
