Congrats on a cool trophy. I don't care how you light them, hunting with an open sighted front stuffer just puts the capital F back in FUN!!!!

Cool, congrats!
I shoot a 54 cal hawkin replica percussion. What bullet were you shooting? Ive shot several deer and hogs with a combination of 315 grain ballets and 240 grain saboted 44 call Hornady handgun bullets both over 95 grains of pyrodexRS.

Well and truly done! I hunted an entire season with a .50 caliber rock lock one time and came away from the experience with MUCH more respect for the hunting and fighting prowess of our forefathers!
If you haven't seriously shot a flinter, you don't truly understand what "follow-thru" is all about!

Great! Hunting with a flinter and PRB is a hoot. Being successful at it is icing on the cake.
