I've got to root for the Cardinals. I had an uncle that was drafted by the Cardinals back in the late 30's but he could make more money working at the cotton gin to help support his parents and siblings so he had to turn the offer down. My grandfather worked at the same cotton gin but it took both of them to make ends meet. Times were hard.

I just put you on my buddy list for this reply. Loved to go to the cotton gin with my daddy on a wagon pulled by a team of mules named Dick and Ader. Took 1,500 pounds of seeded cotton to make a 500 pound bale. He always got a little seed money and bought me a coke.

With the Nationals having punched their ticket for the World Series, the vast majority of the sportswriters and media outlets will be pulling for the Yankees no doubt. And after the infamous no call that kept the Saints out of the Super Bowl, strike zones may get crazy in the remaining games of the ALCS.

I just looked it up but I didn't know DC was ranked no. 6 media market. NY is natually no. 1, Houston is ranked no. 7. Naturally MLB wants the Yankees in it, not only because of their following but they want that media market.

Yesterday's Astros game didn't have the "K Zone" or Strike box. Because it was a day game I wasn't able to watch much of the game as intently as I wanted to but I saw a few of Cole's pitches that were definitely over the plate not get called.
