stupid phone update and I lost Facebook, having hell getting back on. they want a picture ID downloaded to prove its me, crap. NEVER download the Apple IOS updates they screw everything up.

This is all about password management....you and my wife haven't figured out that technology isn't against y'all but you do have to have enough sense to know and keep track of your passwords

No Apple. No Facebook. One son-in-law once asked me how I'm going to keep up with grand-kids if I'm not on Facebook. (He makes his living in "Social Media".) I said "'Cause I'm gonna be at your house!" And then...they moved to Miami. She's due in March, after having lost two pregnancies in the last year and a half. I haven't had a decent amount of Southwest miles in years, but I think that's about to change. I. Hate. Florida.

To your point, I met an an A/C guy today and they're gonna add an electro-static filter onto my system and replace the return ducting. It'll cut way down on all dust, etc.

Wife and I just had a update without our input. Did it overnight while charging, woke up and phone said update complete, Lost a few apps and contacts and pix.

Facebook is way worse than Apple.

I hate it but like to keep up with family and friends, they are nice to have after a night on this forum with all its "kind" and "friendly" members

Sometimes I simply email links to THF threads to my friends to keep in touch. I got several replies to the SLP thread. Often email links from the recipes forums.

I have never have lost any apps on an update on my Android but have had to go back and reset some of the settings.

Wait so you’re gonna go with another smartphone? Chances are it’s going to happen with that one as well, updates keep your phone on track, like mentioned by Judd you should totally keep up with password management. I told my mom this, if you can’t keep track with it then maybe you don’t need it.

My mom lost all her contacts on her Samsung when she messed it up, she switched to the user friendly Apple iPhone and screwed that up as well. She got pissed and threaten to go back to Samsung.

I like to leave auto update for my phone and computer turned off. I prefer to wait a while for the bugs to show up and get fixed and then manually update when I think it’s not going to screw up any of my stuff. I use Apple phone and the only thing it does automatic is back up all my stuff to iCloud every night.
