Has anyone ever used an Ozonics and if so are they worth the money?

People swear by them. They also swear buy various brands of camo, miracle food attractants, and the like.
Ozonics generates a very small amount of ozone. Ozone will kill odors, but doing so is using in fairly high concentrations which can be moderately dangerous to breath. Ozonics would have you believe that their little bit of ozone wafting over you will do the job necessary to kill all your odors. Professional companies that use ozone generators to kill odors often treat stinky materials, hotel rooms, etc. for 20-30 minutes to a few hours with very high concentrations of ozone in a contained area.
So do you think having a tiny device wafting a low level of ozone across part of your body in the great outdoors is really going to kill your odors?

A lot of baseball players swear by their rituals as well...someone is gonna believe what worked one time even if the one thing they did had no real bearing on the result.
Ozone in the field is one of those things. Until a ozone unit can fool animals in controlled studies.....

In a small box blind I could see it might help a little bit but in a tree 2 feet over your head in the wide a$$ open with the wind blowing not a chance and for what they cost total gimmick worse than scentlok

Not buying, I do believe in using the wind to your advantage but I don't believe in any scent control clothing, spray or generator.

I always tell people who believe in that stuff to go take a dump in the middle of your living room, then set up your Ozonics unit, or spray a bottle of that Scent Lok spray down garbage all over it and see if the smell is gone..........

It's not meant to eliminate the odor of a human being, it's meant to confuse a deers olfactory senses a bit longer than normal. The thought is it will give you a few more seconds to judge and make a shot. He/she is still going to pick up your odor pdq. I'd hunt the wind and save 500 bucks.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

There will always be nay sayers….they are the folks who either 1) cant afford it or 2) are too tight to spend $ on it.
What I can tell you, it works for me. I bought one last year. I had a few instances where I was busted while using it, however I found out that I was using it wrong. Since changing how I use it(I use it now how they say to use it in the instructions), I shot a really nice 8 pt and a few does. I shot that 8 on opening morning. He was down wind of me for at least 1 min before I was able to get a shot at him. Now he is in my freezer.
I dont have the newest model and didn't spend $500 and got a package with all sorts of accessories.
It may not be 100% effective but if it gives me a 1% advantage over not having it, then it is worth it. Mature deer are hard to kill and any advantage is worth it to me.
Everyone always says to hunt the wind, well typically I do but deer dont always read the script and do what we want them to do.

But I’m not going to throw money away on gimmicks. The logic of it doesn’t add up. There are no actual, valid studies proving its effectiveness. There are several studies and real-world experiments showing so-called scent control of all types in general and ozonics in particular don’t work.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Ozone in the field is one of those things. Until a ozone unit can fool animals in controlled studies..... Oh, there has been a test and it did help. Of course, the test was unrealistic and not representative of how it would be in the field. First you get a guy to do all the special bathing and washing of clothes and then you put the ozonics machine in a box and let it run for a while to built up the ozone in the box before letting the test subject in and then let the police dog try to find him. So basically, they were getting the guy to hide is a pool of high concentrate ozone air. THIS IS NOT HOW IT WORKS IN THE STAND AND NOT HOW OZONICS SAYS TO USE IT. Being inside of a closed container with concentrated ozone IS a health hazard. https://www.fieldandstream.com/does-scent-control-work/

DNS, agree with what you said, but the research still showed the dog found the human, just took a few seconds longer. And that was, as you said, in a highly skewed and unrealistic set up.
There is plenty of anecdote out there for anything you want to find. Bottom line, what “works” for you is not necessarily going to “work” for someone else. Heck, I have seen people smoking in the blind and swear they can smoke and deer don’t care. Doesn’t mean I am gonna smoke in the blind tho!

Back to the OP, it works...everyone on here saying that it doesn't work have not tried it. My wall should be proof enough.
Im fine with them not trying it...more big mature deer left in the woods for me.

I smoked while hunting for 40 years and my wall is pretty full too. So I guess I could say smoking works too, huh?

How does your wall prove anything? Proves that I have killed some really nice deer. No pissing contests here. I know what works and what doesn't. Cracks me up when people have an opinion on something that they have ZERO experience with. But hey, we are all hunters and we all need to stick together.
