Has anyone hunted this area in the past? I’m up here working and like the country. I could see a white dog for miles between here and Amarillo. The locals are telling me they are seeing a lot of young pheasant. I like the looks of this place. It’s my first time here. What’s your experience?

I hunted up there a few times but last time was around 1996 / 1997. Was great 1st 2 years and terrible the last. Working on an invite to go back up this year, we'll see.

Had great quail hatches and a good pheasant hatch this year just north.

I was just up there hunting pronghorn and it’s looking best it’s been in last 10 years(it’s been a rough, 10 years)

I don’t know if it will ever be as good as late 90’s but it is trending up

My families place is 70 miles NE of Dumas near Hardesty OK. We had banner years 04-09. I burned up 87 every other weekend driving up there busting those birds. Probably will never see that kind of action again. My GSP got a real workout.

Weston the tri-county biologist said Beaver WMA is going to have a banner Quail year. Basically a true boom year,
