It was interesting for the parts I watched while my wife was watching. I didn't understand why he gave Rosanne Cash and Emmy Lou Harris so much screen time. Then he just gives 90 seconds to George Strait.

George Strait is a singer not an artist or trailblazer or..... just a singer Go watch the ENTIRE series, not just bits and pieces. You will see a lot more about George.

His work is great...to bad he's a dam liberal That said I was surp[rised that Bristol Tennessee had a huge influence on country music. I'm from that area.

I think that the “screen time” narrators were chosen more based on their historical and/or first hand knowledge of events and people than their own musical prowess.
That said, one of the few knitpicks I had was it did at times seem like the “Johnny Cash Documentary”.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

That said, one of the few knitpicks I had was it did at times seem like the “Johnny Cash Documentary”. The Carter family had a huge influence on country music.
