Yes, Bill, we will invite them over. Our differences can be ignored. He did suggest that cow farts worsen global warming, but they personally raise cattle. Figure that out. So, unless they tell me they love Elizabeth Warren, we’ll remain friends. They are 20 years younger than us, but we do have some common interests and we like them.
The wife will cook a pot roast for them, and brother can she cook a pot roast, and I will closely watch to see if any actual meat gets consumed by the lady (accidentally or on purpose) or if she slurps some gravy off the veggies. If so, I will not bring attention to a vegan backslide and embarrass her, but I sure will tell you guys. I will be sure that some bread is beside her plate, just in case she goes totally wild and wants to sop up some gravy.
As an aside...have any of you folks ever actually seen or heard a cow fart? I have not. I don't think cows simply just fart. I have observed and heard where a part of what came out was in the form of a gas. They just let it all go.

A lot of vegans are just putting on a show, kind of like a bunch of Christians. The latter claim to holier than thou, they don't practice what they preach. I think that’s just people In general Agreed! Do as I say not as I do is a constant.
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

Yes, but can they fake a perfectly fried chicken leg. Or a dry aged choice beef strip cooked on high heat for a minute a side? I do like my veg sides. What is to argue. Most of us are omnivores.

I just wonder if they cheat, even a little bit. She did say that she loved Pot Roast, though she only eats the veggies. If the veggies are so wonderful, why do they need to be associated with a pot roast? If she wipes down the carrot chunks before eating them, maybe she’s tough enough to not cheat, but if she eats the veggies dripping with beef juices, she’s cheating.
Understand, however, that I don’t care if she cheats. It’ll just mean she’s human, and I’ll probably like her a bit more because of it.
When she walks into the house and smells that pot roast (the wife makes a wonderful one) and still resists eating the meat, she is a strong woman.
