The cold finally got here in Wyoming and it brought some birds with it. Friday we had snow all day with highs in the teens, Saturday morning the was around -7 and sections of the river started freezing over. That was definitely my coldest hunt I’ve been on. There were a few flocks that we all only got one shot off on because of our guns freezing shut, but we were still able to shoot a good number of birds each day.
I have about 12 days left up here before I head back to Texas, hopefully the hunting stays as good as it has been. We have more cold weather in the forecast and new birds showing up each day.
