Bet it shoots great. It’s the “super fast lock time” that makes me think, why lie? Now, I’m a 700 fan, but the 2 lug design and way more degrees of throw, ain’t NO way it’s the fastest out there

You could buy a 700 action, stock, barrel, trigger, recoil lug and have it built for a little extra change then you'll have something interesting.

How much is a little??

Are you talking about how long it takes to work the action, or the time it takes for the firing pin to hit the primer after you pull the trigger??

Depending on how much your smith charges and which stock, trigger, and barrel you choose.

If you have a 700 already you could just get it re barreled.

Well heck, in their advertisement, what are they describing lock time to be? I’m sitting here thinking it’s the working of the bolt

The best I can come up with to replicate that rifle would be ~$1100 in parts. That is not including an aftermarket trigger, because either way you’re going to want one.

I took a chance on one of these at that price-- if the weather holds I'll be shooting it tomorrow with the new NX8 and let you know how it does. The 40x trigger is better than the Xmark by far and the rifle overall seems to be fit and finished nicely. Very little [censored] on close and smoother bolt ride than the SPS and the recent Senderos I've handled. It's drilled and tapped for 8/40 base screws.

I'll be shooting this as it came from the factory but having adjusted the trigger pull on the 40x and adding a 5 port Ryan Pierce self timing brake.

At a price close to the 'Long Range' but with a better stock, trigger, barrel (and threaded) I figured it could be worth the gamble.

That is a good price. I'm no Remington fan, but you could do a lot worse than that gun for $799.

The deal breaker on this for me was the lack of removable mag. Other than that I think you did extremely well. Let us know how it shoots!

Not disappointed in this rifle-- didn't spend as much time behind it as I hoped because I was a bit late all day. But it showed great promise with 212 ELDXs. Consistently touching first two shots at 100 yards. Not sure if it was me or a little tweaking on the 3rd (I had spent all day behind a 338wm and unbraked 257wby).

Pros-
1. Trigger- 40x is much better than the X-mark PRO!
2. Fit and Finish- much smoother bolt ride and overall feel than all the other newer R700s I've been behind.
3. Weight/Brake-- The Piercision Rifles 5 Port kept me on paper 8x11" target at 100 yards through the recoil! Looking forward to stretching it out and seeing what it is like at longer distances, to be able to watch impact!

Cons
1. Weight- 1lb heavier than advertised... which plus NX8, rings, mount equals an 11.5lb gun when fully loaded.
2. Trigger- still not as good as a Trigger Tech or Timney but very much usable.
3. N/A
