I'll be heading to Freeport chasing some Bull Reds Sunday. Got a guide this trip.

Fished there for over 40 years. Loved the incoming tide near the bridge.

Good stuff , heading down to Port O'Connor next Wednesday myself to chase the bulls. Keep us updated wp and also Buzz, fun times this time of year down on the coast when the various runs kick off

Love the big jetties down there. You can catch reds in 40 feet of watered off just off the north. You'll need a good anchor.

Port O is my favorite but you can’t get a house like this down there. We’re more about unwinding than great fishing on this trip.

Reds are great cooked skin and scales. Had trouble filleting until I watched a guide at SPI do it. Start just like you filet any fish but don't try to cut through the ribs. Grab the tail and pull it over the head while the ribs are still attached.

Reds were incidental with me. I learned too late that you could do the same thing with a good size speck fillet.

Excellent way to spend a day.

Take the camper down to the RV Park at the Pass all the time. Site 27. Love it there.

Well THF come on, the house sleeps 16 and there’s 8 of us. Well be here until Saturday afternoon.
