Good deal. Stick with the plan and do what the neuro says. 'Best doc I have is a neurologist.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear this. You're one of the good ones. With that said...Did someone slap you on the back when you were in the hot tub making silly faces while wearing your speedo? Just asking for a friend.

My mom had it once as a young wife and mother. It was very hard on her looking in the mirror till it got better. I remember going to dinner as a family and she would just brake down at the table and cry from the embarrassment, frustration, etc. what else I don't know of her drink running out the corner of her mouth onto her dress/blouse/table or whatever. Never felt more like I couldn't do anything to help someone in my whole life.

She made a full recovery and in 20+ years hasn't had it again. Her Dr. said it could have been brought on by stress.

yes its embarrassing, I'm ready for Halloween though.

Kids are SO brutally honest. My girlfriends granddaughter (2nd grader) came up to me and asked "whats wrong with your face?" All I could think of was "I have a cold in it" jeeeez

Here is what it looks like, TVMA only, hideous

Having said all that, there is a normal recovery period with Bell’s palsy, most people will recover some of not all function, so claiming anything works is really just part of the normal recovery process. It’s just money, and if you want to spend your money on something that is probably doing nothing (cbd water, acupuncture) then feel free. Can’t hurt, prob isn’t going to help tho.

This is what my Dr. said about 4 years ago when I had bell's Palsy. Dr also said a person could have it more than once with the same odds of having it a second time as the first time. He also said it would cure itself with or without meds. Some cases simply take longer to heal than others.

BuzzSaw, I AM NOT SAYING YOU LOOK GOOD BUT YOU LOOK GOOD COMPARED TO WHAT I LOOKED WHEN I HAD MY CASE..

You still look like Buzz to me. Honestly, I don't care what you look like, as long as you can still get behind a scope on opening day! Hope you'll be out this Saturday.

Buzz, while I understand your perception is more than reality, your case isn’t that bad. It gets a whole lot worse.

Not trying to rub in your age or beauty, but when I lived in SA a girl in our neighborhood got bells after she gave birth, really cute mid20’s type girl, and her face is still really sagging, much worse than yours does.

One thing about working in medicine, it always gives me perspective that things can always get worse.

Hang in there, I bet you all resolve in another couple months near completely
