Gerdi (1) mini dachshund got out the door and we didn't know and ran over at 8 weeks old
Gerdi (2) replacement for number 1 from same litter
Gus (mini dachshund)
Puppy, changed to Sparky (last of the litter of Gerdi and Gus, we weren't going to keep him so called him puppy but named him sparky when it was clear he was staying)

You named a chihuahua after Gus? The greatest movie of all time, and the greatest part of all time!!! That has to be a sin! A chihuahua? Maybe a boxer, pit, or rottie, but a chihuahua? I’m not even sure a chihuahua classifies as a real dog. Ha. Ha.

First dog was Bear. He was one tough dog. Toughest I ever had.

Beau was smartest ever had. Could do numerous tricks. Was also most protective I have ever had.

Current pup is Tank, boxer. Most affectionate dog I have ever had so far. At 5 1/2 months he is right at 50 pounds. He will be my last dog!

Gus was by far most fearless dog.

He’d fight a grizzly in a blink.

Not that old.
Usually had 3 - 7 at a time most working dogs.

A few hit by UPS or USPS trucks, a few killed by livestock doing their job, a handful that wondered to somewhere they shouldn't have & didn't return, a bunch retired as pets for the ranch hand/caretaker families of several of the places they worked, 2 I had to put down myself for attaching calves, 3 killed & 4 no longer able to work after fight with wildlife.
Thats what I can remember right now.

Remembered 5 others, all separated by several years.
April
May
June
July
Steve, named after deceased brother in law
