30 minutes before sunrise, and 1.5 hours before sunset. I've also experimented with the single morning feed to try and break them of nocturnal feedings, but it didn't seem to help much -- couldn't get anyone else on the lease on board with the idea and our lease is also surrounded by other leases, so I think the deer just went elsewhere.

I just go with 7 and 4 to 4:30 depending on setup. If I did 30 minutes before sunrise I wouldn't see a deer after sunrise. Corn would be gone. Cloudy day and I wouldn't even be able to see them. At 7 most come in about 7:15 and its plenty light. They rut in Nov so have to bring the does in. Our mature bucks do not go to feeders to eat period. Never have for 10 years.

we have someone at the lease every weekend so we keep up with the timers.we adjust every 2 weeks as the sunrise/sunset times change... we do 15 min before sunrise and 1 hr before sunset..30 min before sunrise and you are feeding deer in the dark.. Deer know times and start staging 15 min before feeders go off......2 stands we do "lunch" at 12 for those that want to go set after breakfast....amazing how many deer come when the lunch feeders go off....

I filled the feeders at a buddy’s place Friday. Reset the timers to 7:15 & 5:00.

My place gets light about 6:30ish so I feed at 7:00 AM and then 2 hours before dark, so usually around 3:30 during the season.

Off season the mornings stay the same but will adjust the evening feedings to always go off about 2 hours before dark.
