Has anybody in modern day times upgraded their truck speakers and amp? What did you go with

I generally use Alpine. Check with Crutchfield for compatibility, fitment. But buy from Ebay if you want to save some $$.

Ive been wanting to upgrade the speakers in my 14 2500hd. One of the rear speakers is a little blown I think.

Car Toys is a rip off. You can get installation done for about half their cost for sure. Some you can do if not all of it.

I fixed my wife’s jeep up and went with 2 - 10’s, mids, & highs along with a nice amp... all JL Audio. Went with a kenwood head unit. It really jams!

I grew out of that. I prefer quiet now but to each his own.

I swapped head units, speakers and added amp'ed Subs in my boy's Tacoma and FJ, not much to it. I second Crutchfield as they also sell plug in play kits that allow you to plug the new stuff into the existing wiring. They kept all of their steering wheel controls, etc.
