Good lord willing, this time next year I will be in Canada chasing Moose and Black bear, so I already have next years hunt lined up. But after that, I have nothing planned.

So, I was looking online today at my next hunt and will also look at the DSC.

Was toying with the idea of going back to Africa, however I have shot most of my target animals that I had going over there, so I'm gonna cool off on making a return trip just yet.

I have seen some Red Stag hunts in Argentina that look pretty awesome, all horseback and in the Mountainous country of Patagonia. Looks like a real good trip. I had also looked into a trip to Europe around Germany/Hungary and Austria for Red Stag and Mouflon but im not as pumped about that for some reason.

My hunting buddies are back on Mule Deer and Caribou so I could do a hunt for something domestic as well.

Anyone have any ideas or Suggestons on any maybe less well known hunts or species? I'm just as interested in the adventure as I am the game hunted but I have a itch to kill big bodied animals at the moment.

I can think of a few hunts I still would like to do. I have never had any desire to kill a musk ox, or any species of caribou.
Vancouver Island/Prince of Wales Island - Really BIG jet black bear
Africa - Vhaal Rheebok
England - Roe deer or Chinese Water deer
Europe - Roe Deer and/or Fallow
Romania/Estonia - Brown Bear.

The Greidos and Becite ibex were a “ on the list “ animal

They are just kinda ugly compared to a mid-Asian or bezoar ibex but not many people over here have them in their collection.

Sounds like I need to come out of retirement and get back in the real estate business.

Don't give up on Africa yet. For adventure, if I was young and in shape, I'd do a Lord Derby Eland hunt, in one of it's few native countries. 'Better go quick before you can't bring the head back. 'Course, you're gonna have to add on to that trophy room. And then there's Bongo, but I'm pretty sure the food on that hunt sucks, and you better have some serious travel meds. And nobody does a shoulder Bongo. A full mount is required. You'd have to move...again. Hopefully, she'd move with you. grin

Ultimate adventure: Combo mission support trip and hunt whatever in - South Sudan. Our church supports a mission there. That'd be cutting edge. up I'm at a stage in my life that if I could find an outfitter with huevos big enough to try and establish something there, I'd give it a go. I support any country that tells the muzzies to stick it.

I would love to hunt bongo, sitatunga as well as mountain Nyala.

In the case of the bongo, for that price I would be hunting for a sheep on some remote mountain somewhere rather than sweating it out in the rain forest

According to the internets, Sudan banned hunting.

I’ll go back to Africa at some point for sure. Need to get a hartebeest, lechewe and a black wildebeest....maybe a Roan or another sable....

Lord Derby Eland is my actual top of the list. Just also way outside the budget. Hippo and a giant crocodile thereafter,

If you go Bongo style. Look at dwarf forest buffalo also.

Moose are big, the odds of hitting one or two are in his favor

I will report back to you. I hope the Moose are plentiful, big and dumb
