We had one jump into a feeder pen and didn't make it out. Died in there. It was a well constructed pen like yours and we ended up paying for the cow.

Seems kind of a hazard you accept if you allowed hunters to put up pens while taking their lease money.

Well that pic was from Sept 7th and I just went out this weekend and it wasn't there. Wonder if she fried my feeder motor also cause it went bad too.

Landowner pulled your camera memory card then let the cow in then put the card back in, cheap way to fatten them cows up

How tall is the pen? We just put up a couple of pens but used cattle panels and then cut down some openings for fawns. Hoping to keep the cattle and hogs out.

Our place in Webb Co is bone dry and I can't get the owner to pull his cattle off. He may have no place to take them other than the slaughter house and cattle prices just went down. They're tearing up or jumping the feed pens around all of our protein feeders. One red heifer emptied a one ton protein feeder in 30 days. I drove up to it Saturday morning and there she was, standing in the pen picking up corn b/c she's out of protein. We just started all of our corn feeders in the past several days. I'm sure those pens will be next. A freaking $800 cow ate half her value in protein in one month. Very disheartening.
