Hey all! Got my first hand gun. And was wondering what you all would do accessory wise. I also was wondering if the factory grips are replaceable? Current ones are a little worn and i wanted to throw a coat of paint on this bad boy sorta like the one in the pic but with some skulls. It will be a CC, but im not concerned with paint wear. Thanks

Hey thanks! That stippling would actually go very well with what I have in mind. It would be perfect! Anyone know where I could get a quote for lazer stippling locally. Google popped this one up and their pics look cool.

Congrats on your first handgun! Grips aren't replaceable, but like Tactical Cowboy said you can get it stippled. Extra mags never hurts. Make sure to get a good holster that will be comfortable for your carry position. I like leaving my guns stock, but painting it would probably be okay. If you don't like the trigger, you can probably get it replaced, but like I said I like leaving my guns stock.

Reached out and they dont do lazer stippling and suggested I find someone to do both at the sane time due to both needing prep and such.

Any waist holster recomendations?

I wonder if the minor differences would affect the way the xd sub compact in the first pic fits in the holster.

Great value for the price in a leather OWB holster. Very comfortable.

If you are referring to the minor differences between the XDs 9mm vs the .45, to my knowledge
the differences in dimensions are only internal. All the external dimensions are the same.
Ironically, the 9mm weighs slightly more than the .45 because the barrel is thicker.

Now I get it . It should fit but will be short of the holster muzzle opening.

Im sorry. The gun i have is the one in the first pic its an xd 9mm. The second pic is the xds. Still new to the xd world but everywhere i look calls the first one xd 9mm sub compact. The two guns pictured have different legnth barrels.

Side note the more i look at the xds makes me wish i found and bought that one 😆

And the more I look at the sub compact the more I think maybe it will not fit well in the molded XDs holster.
There seem to be plenty of holster to choose from for the subcompact. Enjoy your new pistol.

I have mine (good choice by the way) in a JM4 holster. It's leather with magnet inserts. Not sure of their webpage. I also put a TLR-6 streamlight laser/light combo on it. I put Talon grip tape on the grip.

Put some paint on the xd! Silver with chrome flakes! The Croatia engraving is a bit shallow on the right lower.

I have had mine for a decade and have not done a thing to it.
