 6v battery corrosion

More and more instances of this in the past year than I can recall. Is dielectric grease the best thing to spray on the spade terminals to minimize corrosion?

I use Vaseline and no issues. Dang, recently had a 12vt battery terminal almost disintegrate so bought a new battery and spent $8 on a small tube of dielectric grease. Wish I would have thought of Vaseline. So much cheaper. Ha!

I use Vaseline and no issues. Took me a couple of minutes to get it. I must be getting old.
