As y'all brought up the group vs individual, I understand the system favoring groups however I have a few questions for certain situations.
My question is does anyone know how the system is programmed to fill the quota for each in regards to hunt periods? If the scenario that there are 3 remaining permits but you submitted as a group of 4, the system wouldn't even allow your group to be drawn, correct?
Is there any weighting to your selected 1st preference date or is each still drawn from the total submissions for each hunting period?

Yes, that's my understanding.
Is there any weighting to your selected 1st preference date or is each still drawn from the total submissions for each hunting period?
I think they draw the total number and then choose the dates by draw order. So if you're the first person drawn then you get your first choice for dates. If you're the last drawn then you get what's left. If you don't have a preference then you get what's left over.
