Has anyone else noticed that if you mention something you like/need that's at the grocery store, there will be a negotiation regarding who's going, possibly who's "turn" it is, she "just went", etc., but if you mention something you kinda liked that's at Pier 1 or Blood, Bath, and Beyond, said item shows up in a day or two? What's with that? grin

When it comes to groceries I gladly take the lead unless I want to eat corn dogs, hot dogs, frozen pizza... you get the idea.

She says we never go anywhere. We never do anything.

I reply where do you want to go? What do you want to do?

She replies. There you go again.

Same here except I don't shop. I have a list, I get in and GTHO. If I waited for her or took her along it's 2-3x times longer and she'll come home with a bunch of stuff we don't need.

I seldom ever go shopping with my wife, do not have the patience. The wife hates for me to go to the store because I always buy the more expensive brand or buy more stuff than what she deems necessary grin

After 21 years in the same house together, my bride knows what to stock in the fridge.

I do 90% of the grocery shopping. She takes twice as long spends twice as much.

I meal plan make the list and hit the road.

She showed me a meme the other day and laughed. It said something along the lines of. "I wish I was the person I thought I was when I bought all this produce"

I go grocery shopping with my wife just to make sure that we don't get a bunch of stuff that we don't need.
Just because it's on sale doesn't mean that we need it.

Exactly! By the time I put all the extra crap in the buggy she is mad at me and wishes I would have stayed home. I don't get asked to go to the store anymore.

I do the grocery shopping. I can stick to the list and get in and out. I've also been married long enough to know when something that should have been on the list (usually something she needs) isn't on the list - but to get it anyways.

1st maybe 2nd time I've been to a store in 20 years (can't remember) was about 2 weeks ago to get orange juice for the granddaughter while Wife was cooking breakfast. Yep, bought the wrong kind so hopefully it will be another 20 years if I live that long. banana

Some men on here can't pick them. They buy the ribeye s with the biggest cap.

Same here.
