Haven't seen this lad before. Just started showing up last week. These are the two best pics of him so far,, doesn't seem to like his picture taken! Got to be honest haven't ever seen a 3 main beam buck before, interesting looking for sure. Hope he sticks around!

cheers He probably won't look like that next year if it was velvet antler damage from this year. I have seen a couple here on my place in the past few years and none of them had the extra beam the year before they had it nor did they have the next year after that.

That's good to know and probably why myself or my neighbors have never seen him on camera before. Hoping he hangs around until I can get out in the woods. He's make a nice wall hanger and put meat in the freezer!

Neat looking deer!

Disappointed to hear these instances are usually an injury. We have one on cam a little smaller than that that has a double beam on each side. Would love it if he stayed that way, but this is the first year we have seen him and from sounds of it likely the last crying

Went and pulled the camera SD cards today. He was on a different feeder. I think you're right, look at the intersection of the two beams, you can see where he could have damaged it.

That's very unique. I can't think of ever seeing that in person before.

So which of the two beams do you measure inside spread on, if you are in an AR County?

We had one year before last and he ended up breaking off the third antler fighting.
Chances are high he won't look like that when rifle season comes around.
Next year he will more than likely look normal.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Young deer are notorious for bumping their antlers during velvet and creating damage like this. I’ve got a young buck in Jack county that did the same thing this year

Dude, where is that? I've hunted country very similar. God help me, I love it.
