Who all uses spinner decoys during the splits? I know they work great on teal but it seems I've always heard big ducks shy away because they see so many by the time they get to TX. What do yall say?

Use them all the time. If they are flaring birds I turn them off

I use 4-8 at different heights and they’re on remotes... 12Vmonster.com for the remotes and transmitters.... google pics of Team Towhead decoy spreads... they use 15-20.

I run two on one remote. Run them on a timer. About 3 sec on, 5 sec off. Mainly use them in areas where I’m just trying to pull traffic. If I’m on the x, there’s no need. I’ve hunted other states and seen guys run 12-15 but those were areas that were holding 150k+ birds in one refuge. Groups of 50-100 at a time were commonplace.

How do you set up a timer for 2 decoys? Is it pretty simple?

They work better early in the season and in over cast/foggy days. They also work best on young birds.
Remote to turn on and off or a timer control is the way to go
