My daughter was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 (Rhabdomyosarcoma) one month before her 6th birthday. When her 6th birthday came around instead of a party she had chemo that day. She battled hard with six months of chemo and 28 rounds of radiation to her head having to be sedated every day for six weeks. Cancer stole her effing childhood. She is cancer free now, but we worry each and everyday it will return. Each and everyday we deal with the side effects cancer and radiation did to her eye hoping to save her vision. I will die of a heart attack one day from constantly worrying about her health and happiness.

I was diagnosed with Leukemia ( AML ) this past May, and have had 3 rounds of in the hospital chemo and fought off being septic twice this summer. Next week I go back in for chemo followed by a bone marrow transplant. I’m 60 and am committed to the fight. I want to be here for my family as long as I can, and have a shot at getting my normal life back. Praying for you. My 24 yr old son was diagnosed Dec 6 2018 with Myelofibrosis (bone marrow cancer) that was discovered due to a gastro pain issue (unrelated). God has opened many doors and has provided three 10 for 10 donor matches. He by all appearance is healthy, young, single and wants to get married and have children with girlfriend but does not want to put a future young family through chemo and recovery period. However this chronic disease fatigue kicks his arse to exhaustion all the time. Thus, he has now decided to move forward and have bone marrow transplant so he can get on with his 'new' normal life with real chance back at life. Transplant is eventually inevitable so with the pros and cons weighed, we will begin this journey soon. He has some time on his side so is electing to await until after this upcoming flu season to undergo the transplant journey (probably Feb/early March Day 0)

We will be praying for him and y’all as well. I’ll send you a pm. I’d like to know his name, so we know who we are praying for. I will be in Medical City Dallas for treatment starting this Wednesday

Chemo day 4 today. Overall my body is holding up pretty good. Nausea and weakness have been the biggest issues so far. The docs will switch to a different type of chemo for tomorrow and Tuesday, then I get a day off, then the bone Marrow Transplant on the 10th. We appreciate all the prayers on our behalf.

Prayers to all who have been affected by this horrid affliction. May you have peace until God gives you understanding.
Tomorrow there will be many who go to their doctor and are told this battle is coming!
