I have an AmEx. Pay it off every month. Sometimes it hurts. Get lots of points. Never use points. Endless cycle.

Not exactly, just manage accordingly. I have debt, just not high interest debt. That was the jest behind this post.

Well by the sounds of all the threads like this you’re the only one! Everyone else better than Dave Ramsey

Forget to use them. "I'll use them next time".

American Airlines Card, we fly to see my in laws 4-5x a year and typically check two bags. That previously cost us $100 every roundtrip flight, now it costs us $100 annual fee for the card. We put a lot of our bills on the card and pay it off every month. We used miles for our last roundtrip flights and didn't pay a dime.

I use capital one for personal and business expenses. Pay them off monthly. Have never paid a penny of interest on them. I use points for our vacations. Flew to Africa this summer first class, and didn’t cost a thing. Where’s your issue with this?

Got my SW airlines card in college and still have it. $40 a year now and never had to buy a plane ticket in 20 years. Have over 300,000 points currently. Why not get free stuff??

Many options out there but there are many 2% unlimited cash back cards that do not have an annual fee. It is a decent chunk of coin if you pay it off monthly and use it in places where you do not get a cash discount. My gas station, grocery store and utility bills take credit cards without and fees and do not discount for cash.

I find credit card fees to be legalized theft. Let me have a business where I get around 2.5% of your business every time you take a credit card for purchase.

I have very few items set up on auto bill with my Credit Card since they give me a rather large discount, ATT phone is one of them.

Last year I signed up with Chase Sapphire and got $750 credit for spending $4K in the first 3 months.

Other than that I don't use Credit Cards much, and never use my Debit Card

My bank has a mastercard that gives me 2% cash back on all purchases. There is no fees. The theft protection is much better to me than using my debit card. I have never paid any interest on credit cards because we pay the bill at the end of the month. I have never bought anything on a credit card I couldn't pay cash for. I do not carry a lot of cash on me and don't plan to start.

We use our CC for cash back rewards. We always pay in full (usually before the bill cycles) and there are no fees. We get 1% for purchases and another 1% for paying for a total of 2%. We make about $100/month doing this. We have the money on hand but a CC is much more convenient.

Got this boat last year using Cabela's points. Saved for many many many years but you'll never convince me it wasn't worth it.

How do you go about getting the discount from AT&T?

I have a prepaid phone for work that runs $30 per month, unlimited calls/text it an old flip phone, if you put a credit card on file for auto billing they knock $5 off it per month.
