I took my WC AR15 hog hunting Friday & Saturday and I found out it is very awkward to carry without a sling. What is your advice on brand? This is a hunting rifle. Advice about connectors would be nice, Thanks Daniel

Love my Viking tactical I won at Jason's match. Have it on my 16" AR10 for pig hunting and it does a great job.

To me it depends on the length of the AR and how I’m planning to hunt. If it’s a longer barrel and I’m planning on a lot of walking, I like a 2 point sling with the gun behind me. If it’s a short barrel and I’m riding around on a 4 wheeler or in and out of a side by side, I like a single point quick detach with the elastic stretch and I keep it in front of me.

I'm simple... Uncle Mike's padded sling on 16" 'hunting' rigs: Uncle Mike's 1.25" utility slings on everything else.

This right here. Can be configured different ways with multiple ways to attach. Built like a tank as well.

I'll second the vote for Blue Force Gear. Tried the VTAC over the years and never was crazy about the free tail flopping around.

I recently bought a roll of black nylon webbing, the sliding buckles, and a locking buckle on amazon for about $35. Enough to make 10 slings.

I prefer the Blue Force Gear 2 point slings. I have one on every AR, some padded, some not. Simple, solid, and they just really work well.

If your carry shoulder needs more padding pull a pad out of your purse. Sorry, totally kidding about the pad part, but the basic sling described is very serviceable!
