Whereabouts you headed? We were thinking of going as well---but my list of chores for the weekend is already growing.... may have to hold-off. Let us know how you do!

This is how hard my mutt had to work in Fisher county tonight..Not a dove in the sky. We’ve moved on to hog hunting off the back porch. I may wound one just so she can find something.

First little push of northern birds here early Saturday morning on the northerly wind shift. Guys had a pretty decent hunt Saturday and Sunday morning.

Starting to see really good numbers in Throckmorton County. My GSP and I had fun this morning.

Still excellent hunting around Alice. Brought the better half this trip and we shot 15 dove each for 3 days. One more morning then we have to head back home. Been a great year down here and in East Tx.

Yep.... know what that feels like.... we've been there for four hunts this year (20+ hrs. total in the field)---- 3 total birds on opening day----none since...... it's Totalbs!

Report from Batesville/ Uvalde.

We have taken over 6,000 birds so far this season. Nearly all hunters have shot limits or had a pile of shells under them. It has been a phenomenal year for us.

Both of my GSP’s are outstanding retrievers. Neither required any sort of force fetch. They just love birds.

Seeing a lot more dove birds flying over tonight in Young county. I’m cooking steaks for my sons birthday or I’d be out there with a shotgun. I’m getting excited for the first time this year. Dove are hitting the tank, and flying low enough to die.
