Going to a wedding this evening, haven't seen the bride to be or groom in over 2 years....
I just hate weddings. Too many people. I don't like PEOPLE.
I like you people on here. But not a bunch of people in a crowded area/room.

Either don’t go or go happily.

Otherwise you may end up being the problem.

I don't do weddings or funerals.

Highly doubt I would go to a wedding for people I have not seen in over two years - except possibly for a relative.

I'll go to my youngest sons wedding this next February and it will most likely be the last one I attend. I doubt I'll live long enough to see one of my grandsons get married.

I hate going to weddings, though once I’m there I can have a good time. Had a good one a few weeks back. Great after party, but there was a ton of underlying drama. Angry divorced people, stepkids, who pays for what, and more. But I had fun.

I liked them when I was young and single.

My opinion is that if someone went to the trouble to invite me, they were interested in having me there, and the least I could do is go.

With the exception of one or two, I’ve always had a good time.

Buffet and Open Bar, what not to like?

If there is plenty of good food and they have Shiner Bock on ice and it is close to the house I don't even care if I know them. I will be there.

Only if I don’t know anyone else besides my wife, then the open bar or bar I bring in my pocket helps open up conversation.

A friend through the industry we were both in enjoyed crashing wedding receptions at any hotel he was at and BSing his way, through the buffet line, through the bar and, eventually, to kiss the bride. I've watched him do it. The guy is a scream and can talk to anybody. 'Haven't seen in him years, but I hope he is still alive and doing well.

Depends on who it is. My oldest son married a girl from Mexico three years ago, we flew down to Guadalajara for the wedding.
Several hundred people there, everyone got along, had a great time, wonderful group. She is a global sourcing manager for
a company in OKC. Super smart, nice. Her family is pretty well off. Her sister is getting married next month in Leon, Mexico
and invited us so we will be flying down to attend it. Wife's nephew from Milwaukee got married last year, May the 4th (yes, it
was a Star Wars theme), we flew up there and had a great time.

Been invited to a few where i didn't like one or the other that was getting married or maybe their family so just didn't go. Just
not going to put myself in a situation where i'll be around people i don't want to be around.

My sisters first wedding was on opening weekend. She got several replies just like this.
