What I’m trying to figure out is to kill him cause he’s freaky or wait another year because he’d be nice if that other side grew. By looking at his photos , I believe he could be at his best and may even be on down hill side. What do you think

Injured his antler while in velvet. he may or may not come back to normal next year. I have one just like him that was like that last year and is a big 10 or 11 point this year.

He looks mature in those screenshots, which are not the best to judge a buck from. As far as the injury, it really depends on when it happened. If it happened in hard antlers it may be permanent or take 2 yrs to correct IME. If it happened in velvet it will correct back to a normal looking typical frame next year. On my little place I have had several over the years that looked like that and some get shot that year of the NT look, while one made it through the next year to become a really pretty 5x5 with one NT point at 4 yrs old. Then he got shot that year. I have one this year that damaged his antler in June and not sure what buck he is from last few years. He disappeared about 2-3 weeks ago about the time velvet started coming off. He is young enough for me to let him go another year. But my neighbors like the NT looking deer.
With the buck you posted pics of I would not shoot him as a cull or management buck due to the really good 5pt Typical right side. I would base keeping him for another year off a matching left side. I would roll the dice on a buck here that was that mature also.2cents

p.s.- I've learned some useful tips from stx on these type of deer. up

Both good and bad news. If stx says hold him, do so.

Age, mature, 5-6, at this point he's a freak and not likely to change much. If you like him, take him on your small low fence place, especially. Nice bucks, btw.
