For all those using a 223 for training at the range, what factory Ammo are y’all using? I plan to shoot something in the 75-80g range.

What is "factory ammo"?
Just gigging you. I don't use any, but had a customer bring out some Black Hills ammo loaded with a 69 gr SMK. It shot quite consistent, and we had solid, repeatable data to 800 yards. But, it was quite watered down, having an MV of <2700 fps. It was actually subsonic at 800 yards, but we got repeated hits.

Following up on the above post... Chad is about .55 cents apiece and looking around on Midway for higher BC so 68gr and above ammo cheapest I saw was .67 cents per round.
I load similar with my “free” brass for .27 cents per round but have a load with 55gr Hornady SP ‘s that when I buy bulk powder/bullets my price per round is .19 cents apiece which is the best I have been able to accomplish for good ammo cheap.

You don't know what training he is planning on doing. .223 is a thousand yard cartridge when properly loaded.

A training round is a round that you can practice with instead of using more expensive ammo. It's perfectly reasonable to deduce he doesn't need such an expensive projectile to practice with. If he's shooting that far, he's not going to find a "training" round. He's going to have to stick with expensive precision ammo. Black Hills isn't exactly training ammo.

I built an entire "Training Rifle" a .223 A.I. and it uses Lapua brass and an 80 gr ELD-M. Far from cheap .223 ammo. But it is cheaper than hand loaded 6.5 Creedmoor, and it saves the barrel life on that 6.5 Creedmoor. Training ammo is subjective to the individual using it. And the training could be three gun, law enforcement, or long range. Black Hills is training ammo, if someone uses it for that. I've had a customer bring it out, and shot 100 rounds of it that day. He had ordered 500 two weeks prior, and he also kept his 6.5 Creedmoor in the rifle case for most of the day.
