I load directly from my computer onto the forum using the Upload Images tab on the tool bar on the Quick Reply.

That's what I do now as well. But I guess I'll have to pay the fee Photobucket wants to retrieve my photos they are holding hostage and install them on my computer. I only have about 1200 pics on photobucket and had been paying about $30.00 a year for the storage. Now that the fee has doubled...I am not using them but will have to pay up once in order to retrieve my OWN darn photos looks like.

Flintknapper, I was able to download mine using the "copy files" from the list usually on the mid right of whatever library you're in, might look around for that. Add: They did change the format tho, pics are much smaller after

Only reason I know they are still around is they keep sending me Emails telling me that I am over the storage limit allowed for the photos they are holding hostage until I pay the ransom. I quit the day they started charging to be able to post your pics on other sites. Havent missed them or my photos because I had copies elsewhere.

Thanks, I will look into it a bit further, but didn't get anywhere the first time I tried to retrieve them.

Yes sir, took me a couple try's iirc.. I also found a add-on for firefox that will still allow you to use those photos from photobucket, it is in their add on library and it works too. May be also available on other browsers idk.

Well....no dice. After signing in...can't even access my photos without 'unlocking' the account for at least one month. Sheer Piracy.

I refused to be held hostage and just deleted my account . Lost a lot of pics but none that I couldn't live without.

I only put a low MP count copy on there and had deleted most of mine way back when I quit using them. I keep all my main photos on my desktop hard-drive and then a couple of back hard-drives.
