Most likely an economic decision. This. They say their focus will be on full auto weapons for the military and that the civilian market is saturated. I think that translates to they price them too high and many others are available for less. Nothing to do with politics. Winchester stopped making the 94 for similar reasons.

From the way I read it, sounds like they said "pause" not stop because of over stock...

Since the people are buying the cheaper versions and not the more expensive Colts, then it makes economic sense they quit making them.

They lost the battle with companies like Palmetto State Armory. Other companies tooled up specifically for AR's and they couldn't compete. Pretty much the whole story.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.
