I have a Stoeger M3000 and I am looking for a good modified choke for doves. What would y'all recommend?

Any current production choke will be fine as long as the pattern equals modified, ignore the marking & designations, they vary between manufacturers.
But if you are not going to pattern it, just go to Cabela's or Academy and get one labeled modified and rock on

Why that particular one?
There is no magic choke, ignore the advertisements, pro-staffers, gun rags, they are simply trying to sell you a product. I have patterned(currently available and discontinued) just about every choke that will fit the multitude of shotguns I own and no choke is perfect. The variables are endless, trust me, pick a choke and then buy several different loads and find the one that particular choke and your gun likes and pray the manufacturer never changes it.
Just buy a regular extended modified and save your hearing and money. I am deaf, I wish someone would have tried to educate my dumb*** about my hearing.

Dang, David....I agree with you about ignoring advertisers, pro staffers, etc..... when I was a Kid, 1970’s, Modified choke was the cats azz, 20 years later and screw in chokes, we all learned that Improved was the best overall choke!
Do not trifle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

A Carlsons or Trulock. Your shotgun uses Beretta/Benelli Mobil Chokes.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

When I had a shotgun barrel shortened years ago, I decided to not get the usual Modified and IC. I ordered a Light Modified and an Improved Modified. The LM for quail and the IM for doves. It worked out great.
